WINESDAY! Join us each Wednesday night between 5 - 7:30 pm for an epic tasting of five wines. $10 at the door; free for wine club members!
Thursday: Caviar Night. Enjoy featured pours and sips with the purchase of a tin of Sturia caviar, as well as $40 spoonfuls of Sturia Oscietra caviar.
Saturday: Whiskey Night! Did you know we have one of the largest whiskey collections in Richmond? Enjoy half price pours on select whiskeys after 5 pm on Saturdays.
Producer Tasting: Daniela Rocca of Albino Rocca
Daniela Rocca will be making her long awaited debut at Whisperer as she guides you through an intensive tasting of her family’s portfolio. Seated in Ronchi in the heart of Barbaresco, Albino Rocca stands as a benchmark producer of Barbaresco. With vineyards situated throughout the region and the studied and artful hands of the three sisters who run the winery, Albino Rocca produces some of the most artful expressions of Nebbiolo on the planet. Daniela will be guiding you through a tasting of some of their everyday wines and cru Barbaresco offerings. Not to be missed for lovers of Piedmont! $50 per person. Two sessions available.

Winesday - Producer Tasting
We love when we’re able to welcome producers in for Winesday, and we’re thrilled to have Sea Smoke at the tasting table this week. They’re coming to Whisperer to introduce their new line of wines, Botella, to market. Sea Smoke has long been heralded as a premier producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Sta. Rita Hills. With long wait lists, magical vineyard sites, and high scores, they’ve quietly cemented their place as a Central Coast California legacy. Botella is their newest range of wines geared toward restaurants, and we’re thrilled to introduce you to it! As always, Winesday tastings are casual, running 5 - 7:30. The tasting is $10 at the door or free for wine club members!
Producer Tasting: Bodegas Weinert & Lagar de Costa
This week is a huge week for us with producer visits, and we’re excited to partner with SAWM Imports to bring you a double header Intensive Tasting with the women behind Bodegas Weinert & Lagar de Costa. From the staggering vineyards of Bodegas Weinert in Mendoza to the lush green of Rías Baixas, we’re going to have something for every palate on this tasting. Join us for an informal but informative tasting with Iduna and Sonia, complete with some small bite pairings and amazing wines for summer. Two sessions available. $50 per person.
Collector's Tasting: Grenache - The Grape of Many Names and Places
Join Jenna in The Whisper Room for one of her highly anticipated Collector’s Tastings, this time focused on Grenache! A grape of many names and faces, Grenache is like the undersung hero of the collector’s world. It does so much heavy lifting in so many places, often without the high praise it deserves. She’ll take you from the rocky vineyards of Rhone to the old bush vines of Australia and everywhere in between. While we market these as Collector’s Tastings, they are meant for any one who wants to dig deeper into our nerdy world. Seats are limited. $75 per person.
Mahjong 101 at Whisperer
Join us as we host Sara from RichMahj for a Mahjong 101 class in The Whisper Room!

Producer Tasting: Sonja Magdevski of Clementine Carter
Join The Whisperers as we welcome Sonja Magdevski of Clementine Carter back to the shop. Pioneering winemaker and founder for her Santa Barbara based boutique winery, Sonja’s goal is to “capture the radical energy of a place formed millions of years ago.” Once she hoped to come up with a solution for world peace, now she seeks to establish peace through each bottle of wine she creates. She’s a firecracker of a human and an absolute force in the cellar. Come meet one of our favorite people and try some of our favorite wines. You definitely won’t regret it. Tasting is casual and runs from 5 - 7:30 in the retail shop. We’re covering the cost of this one!

Producer Tasting: Avinyó & Mesquida Mora
Join us on Sunday, April 26 for a special double header Spanish wine tasting featuring two of our favorite producers: Avinyó & Mesquida Mora. We’ll have wine makers from both acclaimed houses in the building pouring from their portfolio. Tasting is $10 at the door or FREE for wine club members!
Avinyó Cava is a premier, hand-made, artisanal sparkling wine house which stands in stark contrast to the status quo of the industrial Cava machine. It begins with their location in the Catalan countryside in the remote village of Avinyonet del Penedès, where the Esteve family traces their history to 1597 with the building of their Masia (Catalan farmhouse) named “Can Fontanals”, the traditional family home. Their spirit of innovation and respect for traditions, driven by an undercurrent of constant self-improvement and a relentless drive for quality, are the defining characteristics that set Avinyó Cava apart from others.
Bàrbara Mesquida Mora established the groundbreaking Mesquida Mora winery in Mallorca in 2012 near the town of Porreres, producing wines in the DO Plà i Llevant and VdlT Mallorca designations in the southern and eastern areas of the island. Bàrbara’s wines form a rich mosaic recalling the diversity of Mallorca varieties while also representing the history of her pioneering winemaking family, with her own unique futuristic vision.

Not just for Tempranillo, the storied region has loads of secrets, indigenous grapes, wild farming methods, and beautiful vineyard sites. Jenna will be your guide through the secrets of this storied area, taking you to some of her favorite wineries in the process. We’re delighted to welcome Erica Landon of Walter Scott Wines to Whisperer for the first time! Erica is the founding partner and Director of Operations for Oregon based Walter Scott. Walter Scott Wines was founded with a simple but ambitious goal: to craft world-class wines that capture the depth and energy of the Willamette Valley. Funded by emptied retirement accounts and fueled by sheer determination, Erica Landon and Ken Phalow have built Walter Scott into one of the world’s most acclaimed wineries. Walter Scott has long been a favorite of The Whisperers, and we are thrilled to share them with you via Winesday. $10 at the door. Free for Wine Club members!

Collector Tasting: Mendoza Madness
Jenna is back in the Whisper Room with another highly anticipated Collector’s Tasting, this time featuring the incredible diversity of wines from Mendoza, Argentina. Not just for Malbec, Mendoza and its many vineyards are planted to a wide variety of grapes. With numerous 100 point wines and a section of vineyards that are largely considered to be the best in the world, Jenna is excited to share more about this wild region with you.

Portfolio Tasting: Legend Imports
We’re delighted to welcome Legend Imports back to Wine Whisperer for the third time! Founded by husband and wife duo Jane Lopes and Jonathan Ross, Legend Imports is focused on bringing the very best of Australian wine to the American market. We’re stoked to have them back in the Whisper Room. Come taste through the latest and greatest in their book and learn from the masters themselves!

Wine Class: Keeping up with the Kiwis
Join Jenna in the Whisper Room as she presents an intensive tasting through the magical islands of New Zealand. Did you know that New Zealand makes more than Sauvignon Blanc? There are some wildly expressive wines coming from both the North and South Islands, and she fully intends to share them with you! Wine Class: Chasing Chile
Jenna's been itching to drop down to the Southern Hemisphere and do a few sessions about Chile and Argentina. For this class, she's going to take you to soaring heights in Patagonia and into the deepest recesses of the Colchagua Valley. You'll learn about wineries who use the chants of Gregorian Monks and winemakers who see something unique in their vineyards and push to be recognized as a DO. Chile is a vast land of long lasting and lean wines that are sure to delight your palate and pique your interest.

Collector's Tasting: Tuscany
With a storied 1,000+ year history, Tuscany has quite the portfolio of wine to examine. Join Jenna in the Whisper Room for a guided tasting through some of the world's most sought after collectables. We'll explore Super Tuscans and the impact they had on the wine world. We'll take a deep dive into Chianti Classico and learn why the classification is so guarded. We'll take a drive up into the hills of Montalcino for a taste of Brunello: often called the King of wines. There are so many corners of Tuscany to be explored and the best way to do that is in the glass!

Collector's Tasting: Stickies
Affectionately called 'Stickies' in the land down under, there is a wide world of dessert wines that are begging to be explored. Ranging from high alcohol and high sugar to high acid and high sugar, Sticky Wines were once more popular that what we consider traditional table wines.
Join Jenna in the Whisper Room for an in-depth overview of Sticky wines, their purpose and place, and why they have often been considered the "nectar of the gods." A few savory treats will be available to off-set the sweetness. This tasting is not to be missed if you're looking to round out your wine education!

Wine Class: Alpine Wine
As part of Apres Ski, we’re bringing you a Master Class in Alpine Wine. Join Jenna in The Whisper Room as she breaks down the nitty gritty on these cool climate gems.
From France to Slovenia, we’re going to take you on a back country journey through the whites, roses, and reds of these wintery landscapes. From mineral-driven and savory whites like Chasselas to ripe, lower alcohol reds like Teroldego, this is a tasting that is going to make you want to back your bags and your snow shoes and head out on an adventure.

The Return of Après Ski
Our Après Ski themed pop-up makes its return to Wine Whisperer on Friday, January 2. Expect cocktails perfect for sipping after your day on “the slopes,” rich, Alpine inspired nibbles and cheeses, and all of the after-party vibes.
We’ve got a couple of new tricks for the slopes this year with some epic patio-parties to be announced in the coming days. We can’t wait to party with you!

New Year's Eve
Join us as we celebrate the end of 2025 and welcome all that will come in 2026.
The Wine Whisperer will be offering a four course prix fixe menu designed to celebrate New Year's Eve with sophistication and sparkle. Seatings starting at 3 pm with our last reservation available at 8:30 pm.
Your experience begins with a chef’s amuse-bouche, followed by your choice of Steak Tartare, Roasted Delicata Squash, or Lobster Bisque to start.
For the entrée course, choose between Pan-Seared Rockfish, Prime Rib, or Ricotta & Crab Gnocchi.
Finish the evening with your choice of Chocolate Mousse or Olive Oil Cake — the sweetest way to toast to the year ahead.
Enhance your celebration with caviar add-ons, an extensive glass list, and sparkling flights available for purchase that evening.
Reservations: The prix fixe menu is $100 per person. A deposit of $25 per person is required to book this experience. Any deposits paid will be credited to the final bill on 12/31. Cancellations are non-refundable after 12/28.
