Thursday: Caviar Night. Enjoy featured pours and sips with the purchase of a tin of Sturia caviar, as well as $40 spoonfuls of Sturia Oscietra caviar.
Saturday: Whiskey Night! Did you know we have one of the largest whiskey collections in Richmond? Enjoy half price pours on select whiskeys after 5 pm on Saturdays.

Join Jenna for her monthly sparkling wine tasting from 1 - 4 pm! She’ll be bringing the bubbles, showcasing some of her favorite sparklers at the moment. Tasting is $10 at the door. Blind Tasting Showdown!
Can you taste the difference between tradition and a little New World swagger?
Join us in the Whisper Room for a blind tasting that will have you questioning everything you thought you knew about wine. Can you spot the earthy, restrained European? Will the ripe and rowdy New World wine give itself away? Or will your palate betray you completely? It happens to the best of us.
Jenna will walk you through the clues hiding in each glass and help you figure out what the heck “Old World” and “New World” actually mean. No peeking at labels. No consulting the internet. Just you, your taste buds, and a little friendly wine competition.

Virginia Wine Lovers
Join Amber in the Whisper Room for a celebration of the people, places, and grapes that make Virginia wine worth getting excited about. We’ll travel from the mountains to the sea stopping at all of the little nooks and crannies in between that makes our state worth drinking! This is Amber's 25th year as a cheerleader for the Virginia Wine industry, and she's got stories. We'll taste through some of the beautiful, surprising, and downright delicious wines being made across the Commonwealth and chat through our favorite day trips.
If your knowledge of Virginia wine begins and ends with Viognier, it’s time to catch up. Amber will introduce you to a few of the producers and varieties putting our little corner of the wine world on the map. Virginia isn’t just for lovers. It’s for wine lovers. Obviously.

Intensive Tasting: Legends
We’re delighted to welcome Legend Imports back to Wine Whisperer for the fourth time! Founded by husband and wife duo Jane Lopes and Jonathan Ross, Legend Imports is focused on bringing the very best of Australian wine to the American market.
This time, we'll have Jonathan at the head of the table. We’re stoked to welcome him to the Whisper Room for the first time. Jenna's put together a highly curated collection of wines from Legend, including some things we've special ordered just for this visit.
If you've ever been curious about Australian wine, this is your chance to dig deep with a true expert and try some very off-the-beaten-path exports from our friends Down Under.

Intensive Tasting: Avennia
We’re thrilled to welcome Thomas Woodley, Avennia’s National Sales Director, to the Whisper Room to lead us through an in-depth tasting of the winery’s portfolio. Thomas will take us beyond the bottles and into the vineyards, grower relationships, winemaking decisions, and stories that have shaped Avennia.
If you love Washington wine—or need to be convinced that you love Washington wine—this is the tasting for you. Come prepared to taste deeply, ask questions, and leave with at least one new wine obsession.
Tastings at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
$75 per person. Limited seats available.
British Invasion: Tasting
Join us for a true British Invasion as we welcome three English Sparkling producers to Wine Whisperer for an unforgettable Winesday Table Tasting. You'll sample wines from Rathfinny, Simpsons, and Wiston Estate. Your mind will be blown by how incredible the wine is from Southern England. You'll wonder why you ever thought Veuve Clicquot was the gold standard for sparkling. You'll raise a glass and thank the monks who discovered secondary fermentation. All will be right with the world.
This Winesday is a little different from the regular ole Winesday, so the ticket price is a touch more. For $25, you'll sample 9 wines and enjoy meeting the folks who bring them to life. Wine Club members, you'll get a BOGO (that's a Buy-One-Get-One Free discount) for your tickets using the special code we send you. Tasting windows are one hour each so no one has to fight through a crowd to get to a table. Please come during your assigned window so that we can allow for everyone to have an enjoyable experience. The tasting should take about 30 minutes to complete.
As a general note, we ask that you refrain from wearing strong smelling perfumes, lotions, or fragrances as it inhibits our ability to taste and smell wine. Thank you for being considerate of others!
Bistro Closed
The Wine Whisperer’s Bistro will be closed for regular service all day Sunday, September 13th through Tuesday, September 15th, as we’re hosting a private event.

Wine Dinner: ArPePe
Seated high up in an Alpine pass is the small region of Valtellina, home to skiing competitions, amazing river trout, and some of the most staggeringly steep vineyards in the all the world. Here, you'll find Ar.Pe.Pe., a premier winery run by an amazing family. Consider them the gatekeepers of Alpine wine.
We'll be welcoming Isabella Pelizzatti Perego, the current steward of ArPePe, to Wine Whisperer on Saturday, September 5 for an intimate wine dinner where Nebbiolo will be the star. If you've attended any of our intensive tastings or dinners, you know that you want a seat at this table. Eight wines. Four courses. One incredible night.

Jenna and Amber are bringing the Sensory Tasting back, but this time in a new format! A sensory tasting is an exploration of all the ‘things’ we talk about when we talk about what a wine tastes like. If you’ve ever wondered how that happens or how you can channel your own inner somm and taste like a pro, this event is for you. We’ll be running this as a seminar from 11 am - 3 pm on Saturday, August 22. Your ticket includes the sensory tasting experience, as well as lunch from our bistro! We’ll be tasting lots of wines, and of course, you’ll be getting your world-class education from our team.
Tickets are $200 per person.

Producer Tasting: Honig
We can’t wait to give Gavin Honig of Honig Vineyard & Winery a warm welcome to Wine Whisperer. Part of a family legacy that goes back to the 1960s, the Honig family are pioneers in Rutherford (Napa Valley), and when it comes to Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, they are experts. Amber has been selling their wines since the early 2000s and may be the most excited to welcome them to the shop. This tasting will be $10 at the door and free for wine club members.

Lambrusco Dinner
