Winesday Tastings
What else are you going to do with a Wednesday night?
It’s the hottest ticket in town! Join us each Wednesday night from 5 pm to 7:30 pm in the Whisper Room for a casual tasting. Tickets are $20 at the door ($10 for Wine Club Members!) and no reservations are required. We’d love to see you at the tasting table!

Wine Class: Amazing Alsace
Nestled high in the Vosges in Northeastern France on the borders of Germany and Switzerland, you'll find Alsace. This region is known for its brilliant white wine, stunning vistas, and Germanic roots. Almost all wine in the region fits into one of three designations: Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru, or Cremant d'Alsace. Here, Riesling and Gewurztraminer are grown alongside Pinot Gris, Muscat, and Sylvaner. Jenna is going to take you on a tour of the region via wine, touching on historical highlights, geography, and cultural traditions that influence the area today.

Wine Class: Wild, Wonderful Washington
Washington state has one of the most diverse geographies in the United States. We go from the cool, rainy Olympic Mountains on the West coast to the soaring Alpine vistas of the Cascades to the barren, desert hillsides of the East. Wine grows in nearly every corner of this landscape from the San Juan Islands off Seattle to the cavernous Columbia River Gorge that borders Oregon. Jenna is excited to take you on a deep dive of the Columbia Valley and beyond, introducing you to some of our Whisperer favorites that run the gamut from Sparkling to Full, Bodied Red.

Sparkling Sunday
Join Jenna in The Whisper Room for a casual tasting of her favorite bubbles for this month. She didn’t earn the nickname Bubbles Princess for no reason!
$10 per person. Free for Wine Club Members.

Collector's Tasting: Dao & Duoro
August's Collector's Tasting whisks you to Portugal, specifically to Dao and the Douro Valley. Jenna has long lauded the amazing wines from these regions and is delighted to introduce you to some captivating and cellar worthy whites and reds (alongside some of their fortified counterparts). The steep hillsides along the river that grow grapes destined to become Port, also play home to the vineyards that produce some of the most outstanding dry wines in the world. If you've ever longed for the chance to get to know Portugal a bit better, this is your chance to do so through wine.

Collector's Tasting: Merlot
July's Collector's Tasting is a doozie! 20 years after the release of the movie 'Sideways' and the subsequent damage done the reputaion of Merlot in the United States, Jenna is here to prove to you why Miles was wrong, and Merlot is always right! One of the most misunderstood noble varieties, Jenna will be peeling back the layers on this complicated and complex grape with the intention to showing you why it belongs on the wine rack.

Wine Class: Warm vs. Cool Climate Wines
Join Jenna in the Whisper Room for a breakdown on climate and why weather plays such a vital role in shaping the wines of certain regions. In this class, she'll be primarily focusing on warm and cool climates and how they can change a single varietal. You'll be looking at wines like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon side by side from regions around the world. This is a great way to build on your own knowledge of terroir and figure out what types of wine really get your palate excited!

Island Wine 2.0 Wine Dinner
One of our favorite wine classes last summer was our class about Island Wines. From Sardinia to Sicily and Santorini to Tenerife, we explored the wines from islands around the world. This dinner will pair fun wines from our favorite islands alongside the cuisine most often enjoyed in those places. Seats are $100 per person (plus gratuity) and include a four course meal with wine pairings. This should be a super fun evening! (Must be 21+ to enjoy the wine!) Book on Open Table.
Menu to be announced! At this time, we can accommodate for vegetarian and pescatarian guests with advance notice.

Wine Class: Paso Robles Rocks
Paso Robles is a wine region for the wild hearted. Founded by a couple of outlaws from Kentucky in the 1860s, it's largely still looked at by much of the wine world as the Wild West of Wine. We're excited to bring you to the tasting table for a look at some of our favorite producers from this land of oak trees and vines. It's been California's fastest growing AVA since the year 2000 and the number of new wineries that pop up each year has us in a head spin. Don't miss this tasting with Jenna if you want to try amazing value wine with a ton of heart and guts.

Wine Class: Santa Barbara Dreaming
Jenna's wanted to do some classes on Southern and Central California winemaking regions for a while, and she's excited to start with Santa Barbara! Want to expand your California palate outside of Napa and Sonoma? This is defintiely a class that will help you do that! Santa Barbara is known for killer Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It also played a major part in the indie classic 'Sideways,' as the pastoral setting for Miles to have his nervous breakdown. Come taste through the region with Jenna and learn why we're always tipping our glasses for a second helping of Santa Barbara wines.

Closed for Independence Day
The Wine Whisperer will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We’ll see you Saturday, July 5 at 11 am.

Collector's Tasting: Chardonnay
June's Collector's Tasting is all about Chardonnay. From Champagne to Burgundy to California and beyond, she's going to be breaking down the Chardonnays that are both cellar worthy and life changing... the Chardonnays that will make you rethink Chardonnay for the rest of your life. If you're looking to add more white wine to your life, this is going to be an amazing chance to get a bird's eye look at the world's most planted varietals and a handful of the wines that make it one of the most award winning.

Wine Class: A Tour of the Sherry Triangle
Sherry makes up a diverse category of wine that is often misunderstood. Jenna wants to change that for you by inviting you to the Whisper Room to take part in a sherry tasting that runs the gamut from Pedro Ximenez to Oloroso and back. She's a sherry connosieur and loves sharing unexpected gems from Andalucia and beyond with you! Looking to dip your toe in the sherry barrel? Want to get in tasting shape for an upcoming trip to Spain? Don't miss this gem of a class!

Wine Class: The Rain in Spain...
Join Jenna in the Whisper Room as we explore the regions of Southern Spain - you know where the rain famously falls on the plains! She'll be transporting you to Jumilla, Murcia, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, and more! Here, Monastrell is the king of red grapes and plays a major part in creating harmonious blends. If you're a fan of bigger, bolder wines (that often fall in the everyday wine category!), this is a great class for you!

Wine Class: A Day Trip from Barcelona
Join Jenna in the Whisper Room as we explore the regions of Northern Spain - convenient day trips from Barcelona! For those of you not aware, Jenna lives and breathes Northern Spain and is always excited to share wines from these places with you. We'll be dropping in to La Rioja, Galicia, the Basque Country, Penedes, and more!

In fact, everyone's fave Spanish Sparkling, Cava, comes from Penedès! We'll be hosting Don from Free Run Wine Merchants as we share some of Jenna's favorite party wines from Penedès on Thursday, June 5.
